The man behind this book died in an automobile accident. He was declared dead by paramedics on the scene, but found alive after 90 minutes under a tarp. A pastor in a car that happened upon the accident felt called to pray for him and reported to paramedics that the victim had begun to sing the words of a hymn.

During “death,” the primary author experienced heaven, but his descriptions differ from many I have read. The most striking description to me was his lack of concern for his remaining family on earth; he truly does not report feeling their loss or despair. My greatest fear when thinking of death is leaving my loved ones behind and this commentary struck a cord of hope in me that suffering is limited to earthly existence and that my loved ones too will be blessed with the release of worry about those who remain on earth upon entering heaven’s gates. His return to life was painful and after years of suffering and torment, he often found himself wishing to be back in the safety and bliss of heaven. This story is one of compassion, love, perseverance, and above all faith. This man has a testimony to share and the story is well worth reading.
