BzzAgent was kind enough to provide me with coupons for free samples of Comforts for Baby disposable diapers, baby wipes, baby shampoo, baby lotion, and baby bib in exchange for my honest review.
Introducing Comforts for Baby products: new and available exclusively at The Kroger Co. Family of Stores!
Comforts for Baby diapers performed satisfactorily for disposable diapers and were comparable to name brand disposable diapers we commonly use. There is no strong smell and even my Itty Bitty’s sensitive skin didn’t react to the material. The fit was excellent across the back and in the thighs and there was no evidence of leakage during day time activities. The front of the diaper fit higher up on her torso in the front and the side closures were easier to tear than those of comparable diapers.
Itty Bitty is a typical toddler and moving constantly; climbing and crawling, bending and stretching. Not once did the diapers fail during all this activity and Comforts for Baby gets a major thumbs up for keeping me and the couch poop free!
When she laid down there was a slight gap in the front of the diaper that I was concerned may leak if left on overnight. Given the reduced price and the convenience of paying less at a major grocery store chain the diapers are an excellent alternative; however, I am still a fan of both slip on and overnight diapers which are currently not offered by Comforts for Baby.
The baby wash, shampoo, and lotion were comparable to name brands. The scent was slightly different, but not unpleasant or overly strong. The price reduction was approximately 20 cents per bottle.
The bib was also of excellent quality and washed nicely with dish detergent and warm water. I was pleased that it held together and that the graphic on the front of the bib didn’t fade or peel despite repeated usage or washing. This has been a source of irritation for me with some of the re-usable plastic and/or vinyl bibs I have purchased from major baby supply stores.
Out of all the products offered by Comforts for Baby, the wipes were by far the stand out star! I loved these wipes; enough that I will likely switch to using them on a routine basis. I have found that several wipes are irritating to Itty Bitty’s skin even when advertised as sensitive and perfume free. Other wipes are so soft that they create the dreaded “butt lint” that leaves behind unpleasant residue after we are done cleaning her that contributes to her irritation. Still other wipes are too thin or simply fall apart when used. The Comforts for Baby wipes are nice and padded and thick, but don’t break apart when used and are durable enough that wiping once is often sufficient to remove fecal material without having to repeatedly scrub her sensitive skin. I’m a fan! Thanks BzzAgent and Kroger for introducing us to Comforts for Baby wipes. Let me know if you try them!
