Honestly, we’ve been an item for a while. Long before the hubs and Itty Bitty blessed my life, I would get up early for a run or trudge through the morning to class or work powered entirely by Quaker Oats. The man saw me through early morning classes, my first job, failed relationships, and even came with me on camping trips in the mountains. He’s always gotten along famously with my good friends brown sugar and walnuts and has started great conversations with my other major morning crush, coffee.
Recently, my main man Quaker sent me some products to try as part of a BZZCAMPAIGN. My heart skipped so many beats – my dear, old flame sending presents to me! I received these amazing Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies (told you it was true love), Big Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars, Perfect Portions Multiserve Instant Oatmeal with Maple, and coupons to share with my local friends. Don’t worry, I’m totally sending in a pitch for electronically available coupons next time!
In full disclosure, I’d show you a better picture, but we ate them already!
These suckers are good!
We had no complaints with the cookies – they were full of crunchy goodness and wonderful with milk! The granola bars were delicious, but potentially addictive and didn’t fill me up quite the way a good Quaker product usually does. They do; however, make an excellent snack compared to some of the things the hubs eats as evidenced by the stranded and torn wrappers in his car. At first I didn’t think I liked the Perfect Portions Instant Oatmeal with Maple, but it was really just the instructions on the back that weren’t up to par for my preferences. For me, I needed to cook the oatmeal longer at a lower power setting on the microwave and tada – delicious!
The Quaker Oatmeal man is just a great guy! He provides products that are good for our heart; which is especially important to me since heart attack and stroke are in our family history! He also is a big promoter of February being Healthy Heart Month and making sure we do our best to live a healthier lifestyle. And he gave me the ONLY food that I was able to keep down during my first trimester; yep, oatmeal – better than saltines for me! Did you also know that there are those that believe eating oatmeal can help with your breast milk supply?
Whether you are looking for some great recipes or updates on special offers and promotions, you can always find the most excellent Quaker man and all his oat buddies on the Web, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google+.
All of this is of course in good fun. My husband knows he’s the only man for me and is happy for me to continue crushing on the Quaker man, fictional characters, food items, and all things crafty!

Note: As a participating BzzAgent for BzzAgent.com, I received free samples of Quaker Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies, Big Chewy Chocolate Chip Granola Bars, and Perfect Portions Multiserve Instant Oatmeal with Maple. However, I was under no obligation to review these products. The opinions expressed above are my own and may differ from the opinions of others.
I love oatmeal! It is inexpensive, healthy, and yummy!!! I make it from scratch on the stove top and add brown sugar and real maple syrup… mmmm…

Thanks Heather! They were pretty darn good – as evidenced by the empty boxes…..lol Thanks so much for stopping in to visit and offering me some positive feedback on my writing – means a lot to me 🙂
I love Quaker Oatmeal! I had the brown sugar kind for breakfast today, and yesterday I had the plain with a little bit of dried cranberries and a teeny bit of organic palm sugar. I haven’t tried the cookies yet, but they sound yummy.

Wow Elisebet – I think you may be as big a fan of the Quaker man as me! Glad you dropped in to see me today!
I eat oatmeal for breakfast every day! Usually with honey and frozen fruit (the oatmeal un-freezes it, of course). Love the Quaker man.

Hi Andrea! The Quaker man does take good care of us 🙂 I was so excited when I got Quaker products as one of my first items I could review – it’s so easy when it’s stuff you really like!
Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog! Love the feather background you’ve got over here…and your fun and conversational writing style! I, too, am a huge fan of quaker oats…love it in pumpkin cookies, oatmeal, granola bars. Mmmm good. I usually just put milk in my intant oatmeal (it’s already sugared up) but I have such a sweet tooth, now you have me contemplating adding more!
