Running late? No time to bake? Please say yes, so I’m not the only one
This no bake peanut butter treats recipe is courtesy of taste of home and is a perfect quick treat for the kiddos.
Directions
Combine 1/3 cup chunky peanut butter, 1/4 cup honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, 1/3 cup nonfat dry milk powder, 1/3 cup quick-cooking oats, and 2 tablespoons of graham cracker crumbs.
Stir well and then shape into 1 inch balls. Then refrigerate.
The recipe indicates it that yields 15 treats, but I always end up with 9.
Three quick tips for this recipe:
1) The original directions indicate that the ingredients should be combined and mixed in a small bowl. Be careful how small that bowl is or you will end up with ingredients everywhere, but in the bowl. This is especially true if the kids or husband help.
2) Secondly, the best way to make this recipe super easy is to use a small cookie scoop to shape the ingredients into balls. Simple, quick, and no mess! I purchased the Oxo Good Grips® Small Cookie Scoop from Bed Bath and Beyond for $12.99 and am loving it
Mmmm I haven't made no bake cookies in a long time!
