As a new mom, nothing is more wonderful than listening to baby and Daddy babble and coo at each other. And nothing is funnier than listening to your beloved husband and new dad change diapers for the first time. Just for fun I decided to share a few of my favorite Daddyisms overhead at the changing table. Enjoy!
“Wow! How can something so cute and little make something so big and nasty?”
“S.O.S. – We are going to need some assistance in here!’”
“I think there is something wrong with this diaper.”
“The diaper just came off….again….and she sneezed….and Oh God, Oh God!”
“I’m not taking the Lord’s name in vain; that really was a prayer. Have you seen this?!?”
“Ohhhhh they’re snaps, not buttons, no wonder.”
“I give up, wriggly thing – and henceforth her Indian name will be Naked Baby with Socks On.”
“Um, honey what exactly are Baby Legs and where exactly do they go?”
“I get that breast milk poop would be more liquid, but how exactly does it turn solid? There are chunks in this!”
and my all time personal favorite: “Itty Bitty – There is no need for biological warfare.”
………………here’s the kicker, if he thought the first 6 months were rough, it’s time to hold onto his hat – we just started adding solids!
Are there any famous Daddyisms overhead during diaper changes at your house? I’d love for you to share in the comments, so we can all share some giggles today!
Disclosure: I humbly thank my husband, the creator of the original content for this post.
Just be happy he changes diapers! If mine are in cloth Daddy refuses to change them; he claims he doesn't know how they work. Really after 5 years of cloth??? lol

LOL Ashley – that would be a whole other list – Daddyisms for getting out of changing diapers 😉 No fear, we have several of those as well!
I love the indian name — naked baby with socks on!! lol! Enjoy every moment and every stage…they are all such a trip! 🙂 <3
Susan! So glad you stopped in 🙂 So far it's been amazing – there really is just nothing that will prepare you!
That’s cute! I can’t think of any daddyisms during diaper changes at our place. My husband only changes maybe 2 or 3 a week, so…
